1Who can use Haven
Haven is invite-only. You can use it if all of these are true:
- you are 18 or older;
- you were invited, by an admin or by a member allowed to invite;
- you use it as yourself, with one account that is yours alone.
There's no charge for Haven during the preview.
2Your account, devices and recovery key
You sign in with a Microsoft account. Microsoft's own terms and privacy statement cover that account. On each device, Haven unlocks with a passkey. A new device gets your keys only once one of your approved devices approves it, or with your recovery key.
Your recovery key is shown to you once, when you set up your first device. We never store it and can't reset it. It's the only way back if you lose every approved device. If you lose it and all of them, nobody can open your data again, us included. Keep it somewhere safe, such as on paper or in a password manager.
You're responsible for your devices, passkeys and recovery key, and for what's done with them. Don't share them. If you think one has been lost or misused, remove that device in Haven and tell the person who runs Haven.
3What you own
You own what you add to Haven: your photos, events, messages, lists and everything else. This agreement doesn't give us ownership of any of it.
You give Daeluria only the permission it needs to run Haven for you: to store your sealed data, copy it into backups, and deliver it to your devices and to the people you choose to share it with. That permission ends for anything you delete once our backups let go of it (see section 5).
We don't sell, rent or trade your data, and we don't show ads.
4What we can and can't see
Haven seals what you add on your own device, before it goes anywhere. Our server keeps only sealed data it can't read, and Haven's admins hold no keys to it.
To run Haven, our server does see a little that isn't sealed: that you're a member and who invited you, which shared spaces exist and who is in each, when something changes and roughly how big it is, and which devices you've approved, though not their names. The Privacy Policy lists all of it, says who else is involved, and how long each thing is kept.
We also keep logs to keep Haven working and safe. Request logs, which include IP addresses, are deleted after 30 days. Security and audit logs record account events such as sign-ins and device approvals, never your content, and are deleted after one year.
5Removing your things
- Anything you added. You can delete it at any time. Your device signs the delete, so only you can make it, and it reaches every device that holds a copy.
- Everything at once. You can erase everything you wrote, from every space, shared ones included. To leave Haven altogether, ask the person who runs Haven to remove your membership.
- Backups. Our server backups roll off within 30 days. Once that time has passed, a delete or an erase is complete.
- Your backup choice. Each app lets you turn backup off. Then our server lets go of its copy once every one of your devices has it. From then on your devices hold the only copy, and if you lose them, it's gone.
We can't take back copies that left Haven, such as something another member saved, exported or took a screenshot of.
7Rules we all keep
Because Haven can't read what you store, you're responsible for what you add and share. When you use Haven, don't:
- break the law, or help anyone else break it;
- harass, threaten, stalk or bully anyone;
- share someone's private photos or details without their permission;
- share anything that exploits or endangers a child;
- pretend to be someone else, or sign in as anyone but yourself;
- try to get into accounts, devices or spaces that aren't yours;
- probe, test or work around Haven's security without our written permission;
- overload Haven, or reach it with automated tools other than the Haven app itself;
- sell, transfer or share your account, passkeys, recovery key or invitation.
If someone breaks these rules, tell the person who runs Haven.
8Features by invitation
Some features, such as Our Space, are open only to people their owner invites, and only once they accept. Haven never adds you to one by itself, and taking part is always your choice.
Some features award tokens, cards or other in-app items. Our server keeps each player's balance so it can't be faked, but it never learns what happened in a game. These items have no cash value, can't be bought or sold for money, and may change while Haven is a preview.
9What Daeluria owns
Daeluria owns Haven: its software, design, names, emblem and artwork, and this website. While you're a member, you may use Haven for your own personal use. You may not copy, resell or rebrand Haven, or use the Daeluria or Haven names, emblem or artwork without our permission.
If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.
10A preview, offered as it is
Haven is an invite-only preview. Features will change, some may go away, and there may be outages and bugs. Its encryption hasn't yet been reviewed by an independent cryptographer; that review comes before Haven is trusted with what matters most. Keep your own copies of anything you can't afford to lose.
Haven is provided as it is and as available. As far as the law allows, Daeluria makes no promises beyond those in this agreement, including any implied promise that Haven will suit a particular purpose, always be available, or be free of errors.
11Limits on our liability
As far as the law allows, Daeluria isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses. Nor is it liable for data that can't be opened because the keys to it were lost, or that was gone because backup was off when a device was lost.
Some places don't allow these limits. Where that's so, they apply only as far as the law permits, and nothing here takes away rights the law gives you.
12Leaving, suspension and closing
You can stop using Haven and erase everything you wrote at any time, and ask the person who runs Haven to remove your membership.
We may suspend or end your access if you break this agreement, if it's needed to protect other members or Haven, or if the law requires it. Where it's safe to, we'll tell you why. When a member is removed, we may delete our server's copy of what they wrote.
If we ever close Haven, we'll tell members in Haven ahead of time, so you can keep what you want.
Sections 9, 10 and 11 keep applying after your access ends.
13Changes to this agreement
When we change this agreement, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date and tell members in Haven before it takes effect. A change to the Privacy Policy is also a new version of this agreement, so it reaches you the same way. If you don't agree with a change, you can stop using Haven, erase everything you wrote and ask to have your membership removed. Using Haven after a change takes effect means you accept it.
14Questions and notices
Questions about this agreement, and notices under it, go to the person who runs Haven, through Haven itself. Haven is invite-only, so you already know who that is. We'll send our notices to you in Haven.
15This website
daeluria.cloud is Haven's public front page. Its pages run no scripts, set no cookies and load nothing from any other site. Their words, emblem and artwork belong to Daeluria.
